In the interest of preserving a safe and family friendly atmosphere for our visitors and members, and a secure habitat for our plants and wildlife, please observe the following:
- No pets are permitted. Service animals accompanying visitors with disabilities are welcome. Please obtain a display badge from the Baker Hall Visitor desk to indicate approved service animals.
- Cars are allowed only in designated areas.
- Skating, skateboarding, rollerblading, kites and frisbees are not permitted.
- Bicycles are permitted only on Bike Nights: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday: April 1 – October 15, 4 – 7 p.m.
- Visitors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Please do not collect feathers, plants, flowers, fruit, vegetables, seeds or labels.
- Trash containers are located throughout the Garden for your convenience.
- Fishing is not allowed from the shore or inside the Garden. Please fish only from the piers on the causeway or on Treasure Island.
Smoking is only permitted outside.- Visitors and members are required to wear shirts and shoes while on the premises.
- Do not feed any animals, including ducks and geese on the causeway. It can be harmful to their health. Feeding wildlife is also a violation of City of Norfolk Code Section 6.1-13. The enforcement of this Code is to provide safety for airline passengers at neighboring Norfolk International Airport by reducing the number of birds that could potentially fly into the flight path of passenger jets.
