Hurricane Irene
The Garden remains closed on Monday and Tuesday for storm clean up.
The Garden will re-open to the public on Wednesday. Tram tours will not resume until noon.
Norfolk Botanical Garden needs you! Volunteers who are able to help with clean up, including raking, picking up debris and other tasks outside can come in Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday at 9:00 AM and plan on working until Noon. Scout troops, military groups, other organizations are welcome. Youngest person in the group should be at least 14 years old.
When you stop at the tollbooth as you enter the Garden, tell them you are here to volunteer. You will be going to the Visitor Center, so follow the road as it curves to the left. When you get to the mermaid fountain, parking will be on your right, and the Visitor Center will be on the left.
You will meet your gardener at the Baker Hall Visitors Center.
