More than 200 different varieties of hydrangeas and their close relatives are displayed in this garden, ranging from the mophead and lacecap type hydrangeas to very rare or unusual species.

The Garden is one of only 21 National Collection holders designated by the NAPCC, and currently the only one focusing on hydrangeas.

A variety of groundcovers grace the woodland floor including toadlilies, wild gingers and a significant collection of Barrenworts.

Plants to look for:

Spring: Barrenwort, Daffodils, Saucer Magnolia

Summer: Gold Dawn Redwood, Hydrangea, Sedge, Wild Ginger

Fall: Black Gum, Chinese Pistache, Toad Lily,

Winter: Arum, Camellia, Hellebore, Witchazel
