Garden of Lights
Thanksgiving - New Year's Eve - Annually
Attendance: 20,000 vehicles - over 100,000 people!
Audience: Families, Hampton Roads residents, young adults
Norfolk 's holiday event! Norfolk Botanical Garden established Garden of Lights in 1993 to extend enjoyment of the Garden well into the winter season. The Garden displays more than a half million lights of all colors and sizes to illuminate the Garden and create Winter Wonderland. Kicking off on Thanksgiving through New Year's Eve, animated displays transform the Garden into a winter wonderland. This multi-evening event features nightly entertainment, Yule Tide tram rides, and 2 miles of fun for the whole family! Garden of Lights enjoys consistent media coverage throughout the event. Garden of Lights schedule makes it an ideal vehicle for sponsors to create an impact on the Garden's broad visitor base through ownership of individual event components.
Grapevine
April - Annually
Attendance : 600
Audience : well-educated business leaders, international dignitaries, and affluent, urban professionals.
Influential people from Hampton Roads' professional community participate in this spirited evening of extensive spreads from local restaurants, a selection of wines and mingling. The Garden's major fund-raising event is a wonderful way to entertain and thank your important clients. Spring Plant Sale
Mother's Day Weekend - Annually

A weekend for gardening gurus! Event attendees find a wide variety of plants to buy for thier own garden at our annual plant sale. From the rare and unusual, to proven winners for the Hampton Roads region, we have just what they need. Garden tours, gardening experts and an annual plant discount for members make this a popular weekend spring event. The talented staff of horticultural experts design, landscape and maintain the Garden's botanical splendor year round - are on hand to help with plant purchases and gardening advice.
