Welcome to Norfolk Botanical Garden, the most beautiful setting in Hampton Roads for your portraits!
To ensure the perfect experience for your portrait session, we require a scheduled appointment for all portrait photo sessions prior to your visit. This includes engagement, wedding/bridal, senior, formal and family portraits. Norfolk Botanical Garden does not provide a photographer. Schedule your portrait photography Monday through Friday during normal business hours:
- October 16th - March 31st 9:00am - 5:00pm
- April 1st - October 15th 9:00am - 7:00pm
Engagement/Bridal/Senior Portraits: $75
This includes a two-hour session at Norfolk Botanical Garden and admission for four people, including the photographer. All others must pay regular Garden admission.
Family/Group Photos: $100
This includes a two-hour session at Norfolk Botanical Garden and admission for ten people, including the photographer. All others must pay regular Garden admission.

Portrait Fees
The portrait fees detailed above apply to all portrait sessions, including members and non-members of the Garden. The only exception is for clients contracted to have their wedding at Norfolk Botanical Garden, in which case the portrait session is included in their package.
Scheduling
The Facility Rental office is available Monday-Friday 9am-5pm at 757-441-5830 extension 320 to schedule your photo session. Please schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks in advance. In case of inclement weather, we are happy to reschedule your visit. You may book your portrait session during normal operating times only. Sessions are not scheduled when the Garden is closed or during particular private events. Specific areas or gardens cannot be reserved. Due to the high volume of appointments, only scheduled portrait sessions are permitted.
Transportation

ur public tram is available on our regular tram tour route on a first come, first serve basis during normal tram operating hours. Schedules are located on the Garden map and here. Garden staff is not available to accompany groups for photographs and we do not offer a shuttle service or rent golf carts. Driving through the Garden is not allowed. Garden maps are available at the Front Desk.
Changing Areas
The Garden does not provide private dressing rooms, however you are welcome to use any of our public restrooms to prepare for your shoot.
Check-in and Entry
When entering through the Tollbooth, please identify the name under which the photography session is scheduled. The tollbooth will collect payment by credit card, check or cash. At tollbooth, the photographer will need to exchange a valid ID for a photography badge, which is returned upon departure. Photographers working in the Garden without a valid photography badge will be escorted to the Visitor Center to obtain one.

All fees from photo sessions directly support the mission of the Garden.
Photographers not abiding by any portion of this policy will be asked to leave the Garden.
