CALL FOR ENTRIES
2009 Calendar
We are soliciting photos for use in the calendar which will feature a single 11 x 8.5 photograph representing each month as well as several smaller images used in the body of the calendar. Submissions may be scenic landscapes, botanical portraits or other images that highlight the beauty of the Garden through the seasons and the plants that grow here. Preference will be given to photos that depict scenic views of the Garden. Photos of wildlife are not encouraged unless they are part of a larger image showcasing the garden. Selection of photos will be determined based on the aesthetic quality of the image, its ability to represent NBG in the selected month and its technical quality. Photos must be a minimum of 3000 pixels wide at a resolution of 300 dpi. All photos submitted must be taken at Norfolk Botanical Garden. All submissions should be accompanied by the form available below. To submit a photo, please provide a digital image in its print ready form to Perry Mathewes or Betty Ann Galway. Digital files must be in JPEG, TIFF or PSD formats. Files may be submitted on CD, DVD, flash drive or via e-mail to perry.mathewes@nbgs.org. Staff will be available to download images from a flash drive between 10 am and 2 pm Monday through Friday. Deadline for submission is August 22, 2008.
Please note by that by submitting your photos, you grant permission for Norfolk Botanical Garden to use, adapt, reproduce, promote and display your photograph(s) in the calendar and other publications (including but not limited to Bloom!, GROW and the NBG web site). You will not receive compensation, either directly or indirectly for the use of submitted photographs. Photographers will be recognized if photos are selected.
